Last weekend, I took off my first day in about eight months after a computer crash on Friday meant more than my Mac needed a reboot. Le hubs and I had a slow, relaxing Saturday — anything but my typical #getitgirl pace. It was a glorious, albeit gray, day, and my casual outfit was perfect for puppy playtime, brunch, IKEA-conquering and a coffee date.

I scored these leopard print jeans while back in Minnesota about a month ago and was extra excited because they look so much like the Current/Elliott jeans I covet. Although it was well below freezing there, I knew I would wear them all the time once I was going [back] to San Francisco, where my heart belongs. I still wore them on my last day in Minnesota (with plenty of layers) and got a lot of looks. Maybe next time I go back I’ll let them know more about this strange vibration and get the people in motion! I wore it then with black, too, and while this is a tame look for me, it was a little too wild for the Twin Cities. My style and sparkle didn’t fit in, but my sweetness did — and I suppose that’s what matters most.

Xo, Sarah

P.S. Thank you for all the love on Facebook and Twitter. You guys are the best! Love you like a love song, you stylishly sparkling sweethearts.

  1. Yay for a much deserved day off! It sounds like it was well spent relaxing and spending time with your husband! You are rocking those jeans too and I think the people in MN were just jealous! I’ve been a little scared of printed denim, but I think you’ve inspired me to give them a try!

    • Haha, thanks Emily! I was a little intimidated at first, too, but it is actually super flattering once they’re on. Plus, I love that it adds life to all my favorite basic pieces – the perfect combo with a solid color top. There are so many pretty options out now, too. I think I want to try floral denim next! Xo

  2. Sounds like a perfect day off to me. I actually miss Ikea! I love your outfit… and the nails! Pretty pretty pink :)

    • Thanks, Ana! IKEA is one of my favorites – the merchandising is brilliant with all of their vignettes. I am always so inspired! xo
